Celebrity Cruises Returns to Australia

Celebrity Cruises Returns to Australia

20 July 2010

Popular cruise company Celebrity Cruises has revealed that after a two year absence they are once again to start holidays in Australia. Announcing that the first voyage of the new winter season for 2011 was to start on the 2nd October the firms cruise liner Celebrity Century will play host to ten itineraries overall.

Heading to Australia at the end of next year the Celebrity Century will offer passengers a range of new cruise holidays around New Zealand, Australia, French Polynesia and Indonesia. Enabling holidaymakers to depart from six ports including Sydney, Honolulu and Auckland, the full portfolio will provide opportunities to visit 36 ports spread throughout six countries. In addition a combination of two 18 night cruises will allow for individuals to circumnavigate Australia in its entirety.

However, as part of the revamp to their winter portfolio Australia's gain is Baltimore's loss as the Celebrity Century abandons its previous schedule as the liner hosting a range of Caribbean cruise holidays from the U.S port. It marks the second itinerary abandonment by the firm who have already pulled out of scheduled Caribbean cruises from Charleston with their Celebrity Mercury ship. Though the loss of the Baltimore route may be unwelcomed for some full refunds are however being offered for individuals booked on both the 1 st November 2011 and 21 st March 2012 voyages. Alternatively passengers can opt to take advantage of a number of other cruises at the same Celebrity Cruises accommodation level.
