It has been revealed that Princess Cruises has teamed up with American television broadcaster FOX to offer passengers a first look at upcoming entertainment. Showing special screenings of two new FOX shows across their entire 17 ship fleet, Princess passengers can glimpse the debuts before they make their TV appearance in September.

Announcing their new television line-up for the autumn, FOX has commissioned two new shows, ‘Lone Star' and ‘Raising Hope'. Whilst ‘Lone Star' follows main character Robert Allen as he tries to keep two secret worlds from colliding, ‘Raising Hope' see's Chance family member Jimmy have his life rearranged as an unexpected baby daughter arrives.

A first for the industry, those enjoying cruise holidays with Princess Cruises will be able to experience the shows before they are aired on primetime TV. And with special screenings at Princess Cruises' poolside entertainment, or viewing in staterooms and theatre's, guests have a range of ways to enjoy the new shows. Talking of the exciting addition to their entertainment facilities Princess Cruises executive vice president, Jan Swartz, said “No cruise line has ever offered the opportunity to see primetime premieres a month before they're broadcast at home,” adding that they were extremely excited to be partnered with FOX.

The collaboration could mark an exciting step for the cruise industry, with a successful screening process leading to possible debuts in the future. And with liners already offering an extensive array of entertainment options, unique opportunities to see primetime new show screenings, provides an added attraction for many.
