Activities and Entertainment on Celebrity Cruises

18 October 2011

As one of the largest cruise lines in the world, Celebrity Cruises is dedicated to providing passengers with an exceptional experience that exceeds their expectations. Celebrity Cruises set themselves apart from others with their superior design, grand style, high quality, spacious accommodations, exceptional food and attentive service.

Where do Celebrity Cruises Go?

Celebrity Cruises leaves no stone unturned and no waters unexplored. They travel to almost every corner of the world and offer an extensive list of cruise options. Take your choice between cruises to Alaska, Asia, New Zealand, Australia, Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, New England, Caribbean, Europe, the Galapagos, Hawaii, the Coastal Pacific, Panama, South America, Transatlantic cruises and Transpacific cruises.

What are the Onboard Activities?

Celebrity offers passengers a wide range of onboard activities that will ensure every guest is kept happy. For cuisine, sample the Champagne High Tea, which is a relaxing afternoon gourmet delight, accompanied by the comforting sounds of a string quartet. Enjoy the Star Chefs’ Cooking Competition, which includes Wine Appreciation 101, Mixology 101 and The Art of Food and Wine Pairing.

Take advantage of the many onboard learning activities, such as Celebrity iLearn, by participating in one of their 18 different classes of artistic photo assemblage. There are also scheduled lectures on various topics from expert speakers. These lectures are included on Antarctic, Panama Canal, Holy Land, Transatlantic and Mediterranean cruises.

If you’ve always wanted to learn to dance, take up one of the many dance classes that are offered or pick up a new language with their Rosetta Stone language lessons. For those interested in art, enjoy the art of glass blowing shows, art auctions or participate in one of the many hands-on art lectures and classes that are offered.

For the health concious guest, Tour de Cycle is offered through the Lance Armstrong Livestrong Foundation. This is available only on the Solstice Class ship. There are also acupuncture seminars and various levels of detailed yoga classes that teach posture, breathing techniques and movement. Combine these classes with the numerous fitness classes, skin seminars and metabolism boosting lectures and you will be on your way to discovering a new you.

There are also countless other activities to choose from that include karaoke, trivia games and contests, casino tournaments, casino lessons, lawn games, interactive video games, pool events and general sports such as ping-pong, basketball and golf.

What About Onboard Entertainment?

Celebrity Cruises definitely has extensive onboard entertainment. They understand a week at sea will require some high-end evening entertainment, which is why they provide a varied line up. They offer a crowd-pleasing entertainment program filled with stage shows, theatre, Broadway shows, comedians, jugglers, musicians and magicians. For those who’d rather participate than watch, Celebrity cruises also offers interactive theme parties.

The interactive theme parties include Groove, Live@Sky, Flava and Masque. Enjoy custom performances of Qdos dance theatre and poet theatricals. Take in live music that includes a wide genre of guitarists, string quartets, jazz bands and acappella performances or an evening of production shows featuring circus acts and Broadway highlights.
