Top Cruise Destinations

28 October 2011

Passengers can see some spectacular scenery whilst on a cruise. How do you choose where to go? With cruises becoming a rapidly expanding industry, the choice for the consumer has never been so wide.

Antarctica

Antarctica has been consistently top rated by passengers of all ages. With stunning scenery, and exclusive insights into a wealth of wildlife including penguin colonies, this is definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Also factor in the enormous glacier cliffs and hidden icebergs; this is a cruise like no other.

Barbados

Barbados also is a magical journey. With bright sun, idyllic beaches and untouched sands, this is paradise for many. It is considered to have some of the friendliest locals, who are only too happy to share their habitat with you. Completely unspoiled natural beauty and a tropical atmosphere ensures that this is somewhere for everyone to enjoy.

Fjords of Norway

The Fjords of Norway also attract a large number of visitors. With nature in its purest form, this contains spectacular sites of mountains, rivers, waterfalls and lakes to take in. It is recommended that this be enjoyed best in the warmer summer months, and not during the winter season.

New Zealand

A newcomer to the top rated cruise destinations, New Zealand has become popular with cruise visitors; it is easy to see why. With a wealth of natural scenery, which was showcased in the Lord of the Rings films, alongside an impressive set of wildlife, this is the perfect destination. In addition, with Australia so close, a visit to the Great Barrier Reef is completely possible. Take part in some diving lessons or for the less adventurous take a gentle stroll along the beach. Alternatively, call in at Sydney and see some top rated tourist attractions such as the Opera House.

Cayman Islands

This has a full complement of Caribbean charm, and is much more than purely sun, sea and sand. These islands have a very relaxed way of life, to which holidaymakers are always attracted. In addition, with famous fresh cuisine of the finest order, often using natural produce, you can dine in style here. For the thrill seekers there are many diving destinations and a plethora of other adventurous activities, whilst those seeking to relax can enjoy the calmness of the picturesque scenery.

Greece

With a country steeped in history, cruise deals are freely available in Greece. With awe inspiring architecture, and cultural monuments aplenty, you cannot but be impressed by Greece. This has traditional Mediterranean landscapes, and a brilliantly colourful atmosphere for all to enjoy. Fishing expeditions are aplenty along the way.

Baltic Sea

The Baltic Sea is also worthy of mention. Incorporating key lively cities such as Helsinki, Tallinn, St Petersburg and Copenhagen, this cruise will not disappoint. All of these locations are rich in history, from last century to the present, and cannot fail to entertain. With vibrant scenery along the way, this cruise will engage your interest in its local sites and stories.
