The Nile has two major tributeries, the White Nile and the Blue Nile, the latter being the source of most of the Nile's water and fertile soil, but the former being the longer of the two. The White Nile rises in the Great Lakes region of central Africa, with the most distant source in southern Rwanda and flows north from there through Tanzania, Lake Victoria, Uganda and southern Sudan, while the Blue Nile starts at Lake Tana in Ethiopia, flowing into Sudan from the southeast. The two rivers meet near the Sudanese capital Khartoum. It is simply a fascinating destination, steeped with history and stories which your river nile cruise will bring to life!

The northern section of the river flows almost entirely through desert, from Sudan into Egypt, a country whose civilisation has depended on the river since ancient times. Most of the population and cities of Egypt, lie along those parts of the Nile valley north of Aswan, and nearly all the cultural and historical sites of Ancient Egypt are found along the banks of the river. The Nile ends in a large delta that empties into the Mediterranean Sea.

Discover some of Egypt's finest ancient monuments and stunning scenery alongside the banks of the Nile and visit Cairo into the bargain. ? Whether you're an adrenaline junkie or a culture vulture a cruise to this destination will have something to satisfy every guest.

There really is no better way to see Egypt than from a river nile cruise where you can visit all of Egypt's hot spots from Luxor to Cairo. Stay aboard a nile cruise ship of your choice and couple with a landbased stay in Giza near the Pyramids. We can package up a cheap nile cruise and stay holiday of a lifetime for you so call one of our specialists now
