Princess Cruises'' Golden Princess vessel has emerged from an extensive drydock makeover.
The vessel has undergone a complete transformation and has had several new features added, including a piazza-style atrium.
An adults-only Sanctuary has also been added to the ship, as well as an outdoor movie screen and new steak restaurant.
The progress was charted on several social networking sites, with passengers given the opportunity to watch the transformation take place before their eyes.
Jan Swartz, executive vice-president of
Princess Cruises, commented: "We heard that they have a new appreciation for the dramatic amount of work that goes into a project like this, as well as how much care and effort we put into our ships every day."
The ship has also been fitted with a new internet cafe, library and refurbished fitness centre.
Meanwhile, Brits can also enjoy
cruise holidays on other Princess ships, which include the Coral Princess and Crown Princess.
