Princess Cruises is set to host a series of events celebrating Alaska''s 50th anniversary of statehood, it has been revealed.
Passengers will have the opportunity to sample the flavours of the state, with the cruise line''s chefs set to prepare dishes reflecting the culinary specialities of Alaska.
Holidaymakers can also learn from Princess chefs by attending onboard cookery demonstrations, as well as attending talks hosted by special guests and experts on the region.

Princess Cruises, said it is the ideal time to celebrate this "magnificent state".
"And this summer, especially, our passengers will enjoy a multi-faceted shipboard programme to immerse them in the flavours, culture, history and natural wonders of Alaska throughout their cruise," she added.
Other destinations served by the cruise line include Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
