Those taking
cruise holidays around the Caribbean will find plenty of ways to relax and improve their wellbeing on the sun-kissed island of Dominica, it has been suggested.
The Discover Dominica Authority has launched a new health directory outlining all that the destination has to offer.
Colin Piper, director of tourism on the island, commented: "The vast array of wellbeing services available in Dominica clearly positions the island as a leading destination for health and wellness travel."
The island is home to a high number of centenarians and islanders put their long life spans down to the active lifestyle they enjoy and rich mineral waters.
Some of the food and drink holidaymakers can enjoy include coconut water, which is rich in vitamin C, potassium, calcium and magnesium.
In related news, the island is set to host several exciting events this year, including the Dominica Dive Fest.
Royal Caribbean Cruises are available from only £299 per person
