Chef ''realises dream'' aboard P&O Ventura

Those looking for cruise holidays with a little added spice might like to get a taste for P&O''s Ventura liner.

One person to have done just that is Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar, who has been telling the Mirror about his experiences aboard the classy vessel.

Far from being a cruise holiday for the Indian-born chef, his time on the ship has been spent preparing for a new project. Next April, Kochhar will be opening his speciality restaurant Sindhu onboard P&O''s Azura.

Speaking to the newspaper while on the Ventura, he explained that working with P&O is "like a dream coming true".

"It is very important to have control over the quality of the food and the way it is presented to guests," he said.

"Cooking the food is only half the battle - the quality of service and the overall dining experience is critical, too."

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Hell''s Kitchen star and award-winning chef Marco Pierre White will be joining guests on the Ventura to offer cooking and tasting lessons.
