A
cruise holiday could be the ideal option for those planning to take a break alone this summer.
According to travel site Cruise Critic, taking a holiday alone can sometimes prove more expensive than travelling with others. However, it is possible to find a good deal with a little research and planning.
For those who want to travel solo but enjoy dancing and socialising, the Cunard Line may be a good choice. The cruise line runs a host programme to ensure everyone is given the opportunity to strut their stuff on the dancefloor.
"Many cruise lines have solo get-togethers and even if they don''t, you can use your areas of interest (bridge play, perhaps, or wine and cuisine theme cruises) to meet people with similar hobbies," the website noted.
Meanwhile, those considering a
cruise holiday in 2010 may be interested to learn that the P&O Azura, which is set to launch next spring, will have single cabins for those cruising alone.
P&O Cruises are available from only £199 per person
