The company has also said that the Brilliance of the Seas will return to Dubai two months ahead of the planned schedule. It will also be offering more itineraries on longer cruises of 12 – 18 days.
Between January and April this year the ship sailed 8-day cruises in its first season operating from the United Arab Emirates.
The 2011-12 season will be the ship’s third season in the area and will offer a 12-day itinerary from Dubai to India, taking in Muscat in Oman, Cochin in Goa and Mumbai in India.
To date, the cruise line said around half of the guests enjoying Royal Caribbean cruises were from Britain; the other 50% were from other places in Europe, notably, Germany, Russia, Spain as well as North America.
Royal Caribbean has also announced that it intends doubling the number of 7-day cruises departing weekly from Dubai; they will stop off at Fujairah and Abu Dhabi in the UAE and Muscat along the way.
The Brilliance of the Seas is one of four ships in the Radiance Class and can hold 2,501 guests.
