P&O Cruises have revealed five new world cruises to grace their portfolio for the 2011/12 season. In addition to 72 short cruise holidays and 18 voyages the five long holidays will take passengers all over the world, creating a veritable feast of once in a lifetime opportunities all in one package.

Available for booking now the world tours begin at 72 nights aboard Arcadia's Grand Alaska Adventure and rise to the luxurious 109 night Grand Odyssey, also aboard the Arcadia. Providing passengers with an extended time in which to travel the globe and see sights including Sydney's Harbour Bridge, the Great Wall of China, and the Amazon rainforest there is an immense number of opportunities to experience some of the greatest locations in the world.

Speaking of the additions to their new schedule the managing director of P&O Cruises, Carol Marlow, explained that the latest cruise holidays were truly the peak cruise for those wanting a once in a lifetime experience. “The 2011/12 World Cruise programme encompasses 177 ports in 55 countries so we have been searching for the best sights and experiences that these ports have to offer to ensure that passengers have a memorable and exciting range of scenic, cultural, active and city tour shore excursions to choose from,” she explained, adding that there was something for everyone with a broad range of cultural and modern experiences in addition to breathtaking landscapes and iconic landmarks.

On sale now the five cruises will mostly be available for 2012 sailing apart from the Grand Alaska Adventure which sets sail on April 12 th 2011.
