According to the survey results, a massive 43% of cruise passengers worry themselves sick that their flights will be delayed on the day of the cruise and that they will miss the ship. Another concern that often plagues cruise goers is that bad weather will prevent the ship from leaving on time.
According to the survey, only 25% of respondents were worried that they might miss the cruise because of a health-related problem.
Surprisingly, not many people seem to be worried about getting seasick either, with only 20% of respondents worried about this possibility.
Safety issues were of even less concern to the average participant. Only 10% were concerned for their safety while the cruise ship was still docked in the harbour, while less than 1% had any concern about mechanical problems once the ship was in open sea.
The current trend towards mega-ships was also addressed by the survey. Surprisingly, only 4% of cruise passengers considered the size of the ship to be its major attraction, while 43% of respondents cited the itinerary of the ship as the utmost importance.
