High Tea and Kosher Meals at Celebrity Cruises

High Tea and Kosher Meals at Celebrity Cruises

11 March 2011

Champagne Tea will not be an everyday occurrence. It will happen at least once during a 7-day cruise and twice during eight-day or longer cruises.

High Tea will take place in one of the ship’s specialty restaurants and be accompanied by live music. Guests will be treated to a choice of Forte teas, Lavazza coffees, espressos, lattes, and cappuccinos. There will also be desserts, savoury sandwiches and scones, pastries, pate de fruit and truffles. The best of all is that everything will be served on Wedgewood China and in Riedel Crystal.

The cruise line will from now on also offer diners a choice of the finest Kosher meals. Everything will be Glatt Kosher certified and prepared in kitchens that are supervised by O.U. and USDA. Some of the dishes that are planned include BBQ quartered chicken, herb-roasted salmon, citrus-glazed chicken breast, beef brisket and citrus-glazed tilapia. For breakfast there will be traditional options such as lox and bagels, pancakes, Belgian waffles and wild mushroom omelettes.

Cruise passengers who would like to enjoy Kosher meals must inform the cruise line two months before the departure date. During a cruise, passengers will be asked to make their choice of dishes 24 hours before the time.
