While cruising around the strikingly beautiful Mediterranean, The Archers fans will get a chance to mingle with personalities from their favourite radio show and ask them questions. A highlight of every cruise will be the Captain’s Cocktail Party, where all these radio personalities will also be present.
To make things even more exciting, there will also be a mock recording, complete with the rural sound effects lovers of this series have become used to over the years.
Balmoral will depart from Southampton on a 10-night Easter Cruise on the 23rd of April 2011. Ports of call include Gibraltar, La Caruna, Casablanca and Portimao. Ticket prices for this cruise include all meals, taxes and onboard entertainment.
Apart from the Archer’s theme, this cruise will also boast a secondary theme – that of wine. Passengers will have the opportunity to get to know a variety of choice wines from around the world and get recommendations from the on-board wine expert.
The Balmoral’s sister ship, Black Watch, will depart from Dover on a 13-night cruise of the Western Mediterranean on 12 September 2011. Ports of call include Lisbon, Palma, Mahon, Ibiza, Almeria and Cadiz.
