MSC Melody the First MSC Cruises Ship to Feature New Homemade Pasta
11 March 2011
This spring MSC Cruises is going to launch an exciting range of top quality Italian homemade pastas on its vessels. These pasta dishes will only be made from fresh ingredients produced by specially selected Italian mills that use only the finest quality durum wheat in their production processes.
Ravioli, gnocchi, caserecce, tagliatelle and pappardelle will be prepared on a daily basis with the utmost dedication by the company’s highly trained Italian chefs. They will oversee the preparation process from beginning to end to ensure only the best quality reaches diners’ tables.
The new homemade pasta dishes will debut in the MSC Melody from the 25th March 2011. Lovers of good food are no doubt looking forward with anticipation to the new range of dishes.
MSC Cruises is of course also known for its dedication towards the environment and conservation. In line with this policy, the company will no longer serve any dishes where Bluefin Tuna is an ingredient, in order to support international efforts to prevent this species from becoming extinct.
Bluefin Tuna will no longer be served in any of the following restaurants: Kaito Sushi Bar onboard MSC Poesia, Oriental Plaza on MSC Magnifica and MSC Musica; Shanghai Asian Fusion on MSC Orchestra, and the a la carte restaurants Il Giardino on MSC Musica, L’Obelisco on MSC Poesia, 4 seasons on MSC Orchestra and L’Oasi on MSC Magnifica.
