The Celebrity Millenium, a 1950-passenger cruise liner, will sail from Singapore to Hong Kong in a series of two-week voyages. On the way it will dock at exotic destinations such as Bangkok in Thailand, Halong Bay in Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City, also in Vietnam.
In addition to these cruises, the Millenium will also embark on two 14-day round trip cruises from Singapore that include an overnight stop at the Indonesian island paradise of Bali.
According to Celebrity Cruises, they are responding to numerous requests for such cruises from former passengers.
Before its stint in Asia, the Celebrity Millenium will get a complete overhaul to add an array of amenities that already feature on the company’s newer Solstice Class ships. These include a number of new restaurants and the addition of spa-themed cabins. After the upgrade the ship will be able to carry 2,158 passengers.
In addition to the Asian-based cruises, the Millenium will also embark on two voyages across the Pacific on its way to and from Asia.
On the ship’s westbound journey across the Pacific, which is planned for November next year, passengers will be able to view a complete solar eclipse. At the time the Millenium will be cruising between Fiji and New Zealand.
The Asian cruises open for bookings on the 8th April.
