A cruise company from Miami, Landry and King, recently published a list of the top ten ships which they consider best for business meetings and group events (including marriages).
The company, which specialises in arranging events on board cruise ships, picked a range of ships for their list, ranging from smaller vessels with less than 100 cabins to giants like the Allure of the Seas with 2,700 cabins.
Some of the ships were selected because they have a superb range of on-board activities, e.g. the Sea Dream II with its water sports marina platform. The National Geographic Endeavour was chosen for its highly interesting fact-finding tours. According to Landry and King all the ships that appear on the list offer private dining facilities for groups, top of the range function space and world class service.
Currently only a handful of cruise lines are allowed to perform weddings on board their ships: Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises and Princess Cruises are among them.
The top ten best ships for functions as chosen by Landry and King (in no particular sequence) are:
• Liberty of the Seas (Royal Caribbean)
• MSC Splendida (MSC Cruises)
• Celebrity Millennium (Celebrity Cruises)
• Carnival Dream (Carnival Cruise Lines)
• Silver Spirit (Silversea Cruises)
• Allure of the Seas (Royal Caribbean International)
• Pride of America (Norwegian Cruise Line)
• SeaDream II (SeaDream Yacht Club)
• Seven Seas Navigator (Regent Seven Seas)
• National Geographic Endeavor (Lindblad Expeditions)
