Cunard Line has announced the company’s world cruise itineraries for 2013 and it seems these cruises will once again offer travellers the ultimate in luxury cruise holidays.
The company’s pride, Queen Mary 2 as well as Queen Victoria will depart from Southampton on the 10th January 2013 on epic cruises around the globe. The two ships combined will visit a total of 55 ports in 28 different countries.
Several overnight visits will be featured on both cruises. The Queen Victoria will spend a night in Dubai, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Sydney, while the Queen Mary 2 will overnight in Cape Town (two nights), Shanghai, Hong Kong and Dubai.
The President of Cunard, Peter Shanks, said “We are proud to continue the 90-year legacy of our signature world voyages. To sail the world's oceans and touch all corners of the globe is an incomparable experience.”
He added that this experience is even more memorable on a Cunard ship, with its elegance and world class service.
Queen Victoria
The ship makes a grand return to the World Voyage scene in 2013, offering convenient departures from Fort Lauderdale, New York and San Francisco. Her world cruise of 105 days will dock at 34 ports in no less than 23 different countries. She will cross three of the world’s oceans, the equator and both tropics. She will also pass though two of the most outstanding engineering feats on earth – the Suez and Panama Canals.
Queen Mary 2
The Queen Mary 2 is no stranger to the World Cruise scene. She will start off her sixth world voyage in Southampton before heading east. She will visit no less than 34 ports stretching over four continents and 18 countries. Her journey of 106 days will include inaugural visits to Colombo in Sri Lanka, Abu Dhabi in the UAE, Ko Samui in Thailand, Langkawi in Malaysia, Port Elizabeth in South Africa and Christchurch in New Zealand.
