Cruising is enjoying unprecedented popularity in the UK as record numbers of people choose this mode of transport to explore the four corners of the globe.
The 4th National Cruise week is approaching fast. It will take place between the 18th September and the 25th September 2011 and potential cruise passengers would no doubt benefit from joining the 1.7 million people attending this year’s show.
Travel agents from all over the UK who are accredited members of the Association of Cruise Experts will promote their special offers and host events.
A fair number of cruise ships will be either in port or around the coast at the time, including P&O Aurora, P&O Arcadia, P&O Azura, and Holland America’s MS Rotterdam and Grand Princess.
People are choosing cruise holidays over other forms of package holidays at an increasing rate. The latest figures published by the Passenger Shipping Association show that one out of every nine package holidays is now a cruise.
Ten new ships will be launched this year. These vary from cruise ships aimed at the family market to ultra luxury speciality ships. National Cruise Week offers would-be passengers the ideal opportunity to see what is available out there and to choose the perfect cruise that fits in with your particular preferences.
The Director of the PSA, William Gibbons, had this to say about the upcoming event: “We are delighted to be announcing the fourth National Cruise Week. The reason cruise holidays are growing in popularity is because of the excellent value and high standards.”
