Celebrity Cruises says it wants passengers to spend more time having fun and less time with the finer details of what they are going to do or eat. After successfully implementing a beverage package programme, the company has now decided to also offer a new speciality dining package to allow passengers to explore different types of food while on board a Celebrity cruise ship.

The company’s Associate Vice President of Food and Beverage Operations, Scott Steenrod says “Our guests tell us that packages offer not only convenience, but also added value…. our specialty dining packages are one more way that we make their planning effortless.”

The programme will consist of either three or five visits to a speciality restaurant of your choice, allowing you to enjoy a number of top notch culinary experiences during your cruise holiday.

There are also packages aimed at couples. The Gourmand package allows a couple to enjoy five dining experiences and three bottles of wine while the entry-level Savor package allows three meals and three bottles of wine. The Bacchus Package will give every couple five top notch dining experiences and five bottles of wine.

Since not every ship has the same restaurants, the packages and prices vary from ship to ship. The wine offered in the programme was selected by a team of Celebrity wine experts to complement the award-winning food that Celebrity has become known for.

The package decision comes after research by the company showed that passengers found packages both convenient and economical.
