It is seldom a pleasure when things go wrong. Sometimes, however, there is a silver lining to the cloud. In the case of Norwegian Pearl passengers this will indeed be the case on the 24th July when their ship has to overnight in Seattle for technical repairs to its propellers.
The reason we say this is because these passengers will be treated to two complimentary shows by none other than the master of comedy, Bill Cosby. The 74-year-old Cosby will no doubt have the audience roaring with laughter within two minutes of appearing on the stage.
Cosby is one of America’s, and probably the world’s, most popular comedians. His popularity transcends age, gender and even nationality. He is best known for his television series The Cosby Show, which aired for eight seasons on NBC between 1984 and 1992.
Norwegian Pearl will only be in Seattle for one night before it departs again on a seven-day cruise holiday to Alaska Glacier Bay. The one-day delay will cause the ship to miss its visit to Juneau in Alaska, which many guests would obviously have found very disappointing.
To compensate, passengers will receive $150 credit per stateroom to spend on board the ship. They will also get a 10% discount on a future cruise. They will, of course, also be able to see Bill Cosby in action and they will even receive complimentary house wine with dinner that night, as well as 50% off the cover charges of specialty restaurants and the opportunity to experience Seattle’s nightlife.
