Excite Your Senses With Celebrity

Celebrity Cruises has always been known for their good food. Now the company wants you to take your memories of exquisite meals home after the cruise in the form of an exciting culinary book called ‘Excite The Senses.’

This is a 400-page book that would be at home on even the most sophisticated of coffee tables. It provides a close-up look at the exclusive Celebrity Cruises dining experience and features stunning full-colour photography, recipes and a large number of tips if you want to entertain your family and friends at home in true Celebrity style.

Lisa Lutoff-Pero, VP of Hotel Operations at Celebrity Cruises, said: “We titled this ‘Excite the Senses’ because what we offer onboard and what we present in the book centres around ensuring that every aspect of our culinary experience satisfies and appeals to all five senses.”

She added that they wanted the title of the book to reflect the fact that a Celebrity culinary experience went far beyond smell and taste only: it also appealed to your senses of touch, sound and sight – a truly multi-dimensional approach.

The book was inspired by charismatic Master Chef Jacques van Staden – a James Beard-nominated chef – who is also the company’s VP of Culinary Operations. It offers a look behind the scenes at Celebrity’s upmarket restaurants, vast wine programme and widely varied menus.

There are more than 250 signature recipes in Excite the Senses – all of them created by Van Staden and his team of top chefs. The tips are easy to adapt and the book also contains interesting anecdotes from members of the culinary staff.
