Cunard Cruise Line is really going to roll out the red carpet with Transatlantic Crossing sweepstakes, special cruise offers and an invitation to sail on board a Cunard ship and feel famous.
The “Feel Famous, Sail Cunard” campaign starts at the website with the same name. Prospective customers can view streaming video, register to win a Transatlantic crossing aboard Queen Mary 2 and read about Feel Famous Fares.
The cruise line says the campaign is not empty words: this is the way Cunard wants every passenger who sails on their cruise ships Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 to feel.
Cunard has also released a number of new brochures and even a DVD entitled “Unforgettable Voyages” to give would-be passengers a glimpse of what is mean by that famous Cunard feeling.
For Cunard passengers, it seems, part of feeling special is having the opportunity to dress up. Dressing up has always been “de rigeur” on board Cunard ships and a recent survey conducted by the company among 1,500 passengers shows that more than 60% of passengers want even more opportunities to dress up. Respondents indicated that dressing up made them feel “elegant,” “sophisticated” and “attractive.” Over half of them said they loved dressing up more than five times a year.
In response to this, President of Cunard Lines, Peter Shanks, said “For those who savour the sense of occasion to dress up and 'feel famous,' a Cunard voyage offers modernly classic elegance and style with glamorous evenings at Royal Nights themed balls, coupled with gourmet dining in grand ocean liner style.”
