Norwegian Spirit has, in fact, already entered the dry dock in Mobile, Alabama on the 25th September. Cabins and crew quarters will now get flat screen televisions and the ship’s Raffles buffet restaurant and the Stardust Theatre will be upgraded. The Roman Spa and Fitness Centre will get a new aerobics room. Accessibility across the ship will also be improved and a number of ramps will be fitted. The whole ship will also get beautiful new silk plants.
Norwegian Jade will now also get a Modern Churrascania restaurant and the whole ship will get new tiles and carpets. The hull will receive a new coat of paint and public areas will be upgraded during an 11-day sojourn at a dry dock in Marseille, France.
Kevin Sheehan, the CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line, said that although the company had the youngest fleet of cruise ships in the industry, it still continuous to strive to make improvements.
He added “With the dry docks of Norwegian Spirit and Norwegian Jade, we will have completed enhancements on four ships this year, a major investment for the company.”
