Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri has been commissioned to create a new informal dining venue for Carnival Cruise Lines, which will be known as Guy’s Burger Joint.
The new range of eateries will dish up handcrafted hamburgers and fries made only from the freshest of ingredients. Guests will also have the opportunity to create their own custom hamburgers.
The burger joints will make their debut on Carnival Liberty after the ship emerges from a session in the dry dock during October. Afterwards, they will be gradually expanded to other Carnival ‘Fun Ships’ over the next couple of years. The project forms part of a fleet enhancement programme that Carnival calls Fun Ship 2.0.
The main item on the menu at Guy’s Burger Joint will obviously be burgers. Guests will be able to choose from a wide variety of freshly made hamburgers and cheeseburgers. Every recipe has been created by Fieri himself.
A hamburger is only complete with the right condiments and the new burger venues will offer a wide variety of condiments, including three specially prepared hot sauces, garlic aioli, barbeque sauce and chipotle mayonnaise.
For passengers who like to spice things up a bit, there will also be seasonings like sea salt, hot chilli, and garlic and herb.
Toppings will include grilled onions, mushrooms, vine-ripened tomatoes and blue cheese crumbles.
To round off the perfect burger meal, Guy’s Burger Joint will also offer freshly prepared French fries.
Gerry Cahill, the president of Carnival, said “Guy Fieri is a fun, unique culinary superstar whose energy and passion for food is reflective in this one-of-a-kind shipboard burger joint concept.”
