Celebrity Cruises Allows Guests to Linger Longer

Celebrity Cruises Allows Guests to Linger Longer

12 October 2011

We all know the feeling: the cruise is over, but you just cannot get yourself to pack and get off the ship. If this sounds familiar, you will probably love this: Celebrity Cruises will soon allow guests to remain on board their cruise ship until just before the start of the next cruise.

The programme will be called “Extend Your Stay.” It will allow passengers to enjoy many of the ship’s amenities and services until one and a half hours before the next cruise is set to embark.

There is one small catch though: the privilege will not be free.

Passengers who partake in the programme will be able to enjoy a last-minute meal in the specialty restaurant Bistro on Five, sip a cup of tea or coffee in the Café al Bacio, relax in the pool, use the fitness centre and even watch a movie in one of the theatres on board.

They can also make use of the AquaSpa if they are prepared to pay for it. The ship’s bars will also remain open for credit card purchases.

Passengers who participate in the programme will be able to remain in their cabins until 9am on the final day of their cruise, while other guests have to be out by 8am.

The programme will be available on the following ships for the rest of the current European season: Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Solstice and the new flagship, Celebrity Silhouette.

The cost is $59 for adults and $29.50 for children.
