DreamWorks Animation and Royal Caribbean have announced that the DreamWorks Experience will be extended to a 5th ship next year. From 2012 Voyager of the Seas will also offer guests this popular experience.
Voyager of the Seas is the biggest cruise ship currently sailing in Australia and Asia. From next year it will welcome Shrek and Po and an array of other celebrity characters to entertain guests of all ages.
There will be exclusive parades and events, lots of photo opportunities and even an interactive character breakfast in the ship’s main dining room.
The company says the DreamWorks Experience will be rolled out at the beginning of the 2012 summer season in Asia.
The president of Royal Caribbean, Adam Goldstein, and the president of DreamWorks Animation, Lew Coleman, made the announcement at a Shanghai press conference.
Shrek, Alex from Madagascar and Po of Kung Fu Panda were also present and elicited raucous laughter from the audience.
Goldstein added “Expanding the DreamWorks Experience to Voyager of the Seas further illustrates our commitment to the China market, and the Asia and Australia region. “
He expressed the hope that this would set Royal Caribbean apart as a cruise line that offers world-class entertainment for the whole family.
Voyager of the Seas, with a gross tonnage of 137 276, is one of the ten biggest and most innovate cruise liners in the world.
Her inaugural Asia season will kick off in Singapore on the 26th May next year, after which she will move on to Shanghai and later Tianjin in China.
