Now cruise lovers can combine activities such as rock climbing with blockbuster movie-themed attractions all in a single holiday – with Royal Caribbean’s Universal Orlando package. The company has made it even easier to experience this unique offer with Jewel of the Seas now using Tampa, Florida as a home port – which is of course a stone’s throw away from Orlando.
The Orlando package is made up of a Royal Caribbean cruise combined with accommodation at Universal Orlando resort. This includes entry to both theme parks managed by Universal – Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. The hotels on offers all have spectacular movie themes and there is also a night-time entertainment complex.
Guests who opt for accommodation at one of the three onsite hotels belonging to Universal will have the privilege of free Universal Express rides every day – skipping the usual long lines at the theme parks and also getting priority admission to certain attractions at Islands of Adventure.
Royal Caribbean’s Senior VP of Marketing, Betsy O’Rourke, said “Royal Caribbean International’s successful relationship with Universal Orlando Resort continues to create special packages for guests seeking a unique and memorable experience.”
Royal Caribbean has three cruise liners taking part in this promotion. Monarch of the Seas offers a three or four-night Bahamas cruise with a similar length stay at Universal Orlando. Passengers who opt for Jewel of the Seas can choose between a four or five-night cruise in the Western Caribbean with three or four nights at Universal Orlando. For Freedom of the Seas the choice is between a seven-night cruise of the Western or Eastern Caribbean.
