From the breathtaking Denali National Park to the stunning Glacier National Park and the Yukon’s Klondike Gold Rush area, Holland America Line has no less than 17 different itineraries to Alaska next year. All of them will allow passengers to immerse themselves in the incredibly rich natural and cultural wonders of Alaska.
These “CruiseTours” itineraries have indeed been designed to offer passengers a snapshot of Alaska’s native culture, history, wildlife and wilderness.
Departures offer “tour first” or “cruise first” choices to beautiful landscapes and off-the-beaten-track landmarks throughout Alaska.
The tours range between ten and 20 days. All of them combine an in-depth overland journey with a three, four or seven-day cruise. Each one of them also offers two full days at Denali National Park, where guests can view an abundance of wildlife and enjoy the stunning scenery.
Between May and September there will be six tours that include a visit to Canada’s Yukon Territory with its lovely national parks such as Tombstone Park and Kluane National Park as well as to the Klondike Gold Rush heritage area.
Richard Meadows, Executive VP of Holland America, says “Our CruiseTours are designed to combine the best of both worlds – one of our incredible cruises with an overland exploration – and travelling to Alaska with us has never been more exciting or accessible.”
He added that 2012 marks the 65th anniversary of Holland America’s first tour to Alaska and that the cruise line really wanted to go all out to make it special.
