Holland America Line’s intimate cruise liner ms Prinsendam and the company’s flagship ms Amsterdam will each depart on two Grand Voyages during the 2013 cruise season. Their four extensive itineraries will feature no less than 322 days of cruising. In the process they will visit over 120 ports in 65 countries around the world.
Prinsendam leaves on a 67-night Grand South America and Antarctica Voyage in January 2013. After that she embarks on a 63-night Grand Mediterranean cruise. Amsterdam will first embark on a 114-night Grand World Cruise in January before she sets sail on a 74-night Grand Pacific and Far East Voyage just before the winter.
The Grand World Voyage sets sail on the 5th January 2013 from Ford Lauderdale in Florida. The trip marks the cruise line’s 55th anniversary in the world of cruising. The 115-day journey features no less than eight overnight visits and passengers will have the opportunity of exploring several UNESCO World Heritage sites. It will call at Penneshaw, Australia and Makassar, Indonesia for the first time.
The ship will also pass through the Panama Canal during daytime, visit Cartagena in Colombia, and dock at exciting ports such as Papeete and Bora Bora in Tahiti, where guests will explore the famous Vaipahi Garden, lush rain forests, rugged mountains and deserted beaches.
