What better antidote can there be for the cold, gloomy weather of the Northern Hemisphere during the winter season than a cruise to an exotic and above all hot location?
NCL has recently announced its winter itineraries for the 2013/14 season and there are enough cruises to sun-drenched locations to satisfy any beach lover. The company will have no less than six ships cruising to the Bahamas, the Caribbean and Florida. These cruises will depart from New Orleans, Miami, Tampa and New York.
Norwegian Jewel, the first ever Jewel-class ship to use New Orleans as its home port, will set sail on her inaugural journey from this port to the Western Caribbean on the 13th October 2013.
NCL also plans for Norwegian Star to embark on a number of cruises to the Mexican Riviera from Los Angeles between December 2013 and April 2014. In between she will traverse the Panama Canal a couple of times on journeys between Los Angeles and Miami.
The cruise line will continue its New England and Canada programme with two ships sailing to those regions. Norwegian Dawn will depart from Boston and Norwegian Gem will set sail from New York.
The cruise line will also offer several repositioning cruises and four transatlantic cruises during the 2013/14 season.
NCL’s Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Sheehan, said “The Caribbean and the Bahamas & Florida represent the majority of our winter cruising destinations and, therefore, we are pleased to offer a variety of itineraries, ships and homeports.”
