Strictly Come Dancing not Over Yet

Strictly Come Dancing not Over Yet

22 December 2011

Strictly Come Dancing might be over on your local television channel – at least for another year, but with P&O Cruises you will soon be able to meet one of the judges and a number of contestants in person while you sail the seven seas.

On the show Craig Revel-Horwood has become known as a super-critical judge. Next year he will join two P&O cruises to show off his talents once again. Professional dancers from the show will join him. They will not only have regular performances, but will also help guests learn how to foxtrot, jive, quickstep and rumba.

Dancing fans will no doubt love these cruises. The first one leaves Southampton on the 28th May next year for the Canary Islands and on the 14th July another cruise departs, this time to the Norwegian Fjords. Both journeys will be on board P&O Oriana.

Carol Marlow, the Managing Director of P&O, says “We are so excited to bring the magic of the Strictly ballroom to Oriana this summer. Our passengers will be able to learn with the professional dancers, watch extraordinary show dances and hear some of the secrets of this global phenomenon.”

The Commercial Brand Director for the Strictly Come Dancing television show, Richard Halliwell, is equally excited. He said that the show was perfectly suited for the ambiance on board a cruise ship and also expressed his conviction that Craig-Revel Horwood had already started packing for the journey.

Prices for the Canary Island cruise start at £1,349 per person and for the Fjords cruise at £1,599 per person.
