Windstar Cruises’ fleet of three luxury sailing yachts explore the most hidden coves and secluded harbours of the seven seas. The company has now announced that phase one of a major refurbishment programme of its yacht Wind Surf has been completed.
The first guests were welcomed on board the new-look Wind Surf on the 10th December in Phillipsburg, St. Maarten. Afterward they set sail for the Caribbean.
Windsurf has a brand new luxurious yet classic look. All cabins and corridors have been upgraded. The cabins now feature smart armchairs, leather headboards, new lighting features, linen wall coverings, plus wool carpeting, elegant window coverings, stylish bed cushions and beautiful new artwork.
Suites also received new furniture that can easily be converted to dining, lounging or accommodating a third passenger. All passageways were totally refurbished from floor to roof with new carpeting, wall coverings, lighting, ceiling finishes and art work.
The CEO and President of Windstar Cruises, Hans Birkholz, said “The new look enables us to provide an unparalleled guest experience and dramatizes Windstar’s brand position of providing a unique, boutique yacht vacation that is 180 Degrees from Ordinary.”
The company published images of what the interior of the yacht now looks like on their website.
The second phase of Wind Surf’s upgrade starts in the autumn of next year and will focus on the remaining public spaces, including the restaurant, the lounge, Veranda, Degrees, WindSpa, Compass Rose, the Pool Bar and Yacht Club.
