The Islands of Italy From Windstar Cruises

The Islands of Italy From Windstar Cruises

25 January 2012

Windstar Cruises is known for exploring the hidden coves and secluded harbours of the world with their three luxury sailing yachts. The company has now announced a new Islands of Italy cruise featuring some of the most exclusive islands in all of Europe.

On this cruise you can discover Italy like never before and experience it the way the locals do. The journey starts in Rome, where passengers will have the opportunity of seeing the best of both the ancient and the new world. After that visit the ruins of Pompeii near Sorrento and the island of Ischia, get a closer look at the Stromboli Volcano in the Tyrrhenian Sea, visit the stalwart citadels and stunningly blue waters of Lipari, enjoy the beautiful Porto Vecchio in Corsica where age-old cobblestone streets host fashionable cafes and shops and relax in the sun-drenched Sardinian Port of Port Cervo.

Islands of Italy cruises will depart from Rome on the 21st and 28th April, the 4th August and the 6th October 2012. If you hurry up and book a cruise before the 24th February, you can receive a two-for-one cruise fare and on top of that also get two free nights in a good hotel in Rome.

Passengers can upgrade their Stay & Sail Package to a land package for an unforgettable experience before or after their sea journey. This includes private tours of major historical and cultural venues in Rome, such as the Imperial Palaces, Venice Square, Circus Maximum, Coliseum, St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Square.
