This cruise is best taken in the winter months because of the heat, during the summer i was there it hit 50% I dont think i read anywhere about it being suitable only for able bodied people, but i am quite able and found all the srairs, there are no lifts on these size boats, and the lack of toilets on upper floors a bit off putting. Ihe food seemed good but easily 90% off the passengers were ill, we were told it was the heat but found out only 2 on the sister boat the Fleurette sailing at the same time had been ill.I obtained my own visa in the airport, the Safari people didnt notice and put another visa into my passport, when they realised this they tore it out, damaging the page making my passport invalid. I got no help except the reception desk manager who kindly rang the embassy in cairo for me, i was advised to go to Luxor to sort it out, but no one would take me, i was left to take my chances at the airport. I was later given the price of a new passport on returning to the UK.I met some lovely people and everyone was friendly. The trips were faultless, the boat very clean and smart, i wasnt keen on our tour guide i think he was a bit bored with it all, on some of the trips my friend and i tagged along with one of the other groups, the whistlers who had a lady guide she was very good and interesting. I couldnt get used to the amount off hassle wherever one was, it never felt safe to be on ones own or even in pairs as they would come between you to split you up One last thing my visa bought at the desk cost less than the one with African Safari. I am glad i did it, but im also glad i didnt leave it till i was any older as there was a lot of energy needed to make the best of the holiday.
