Comment:

Embarkation went smooth, we are Cunard World Club Diamond members and as such receive priority boarding which is useful as my husband requires wheelchair assistance for embarkation.

Stateroom was as described though we did not see our stewardess until after we had sailed.

Dining arrangements were very good though it has to be said that the first evening dinner on board was the worst we had ever had.  My husband had steak which was so tough would have been more suitable for repairing his shoes rather than eating whilst I had fish which was the most salted dish I have encountered.  Replacememnt dishes were offered but we did not feel we wanted to take the chance but we were assured our disappointment had been noted.  After this bad start it has to be said that things did improve.

The itinerary was good with lots of interesting places and the weather was brilliant at the beginning of the cruise but did deteriorate as the cruise progressed.   The last port of call was cancelled due to extreme conditions so we were informed.  The ship did move in stormy conditions and passengers received assurances on the ships address system not to be concerned.

Some good guest speakers, Roy Hattersley who was extremely entertaining and on another occasion Paddy Ashdown who whilst amusing did persist in reading passegas from his book!  Shows remained at high standard, seating is good in the theatre.

Disembarkation was very efficient one of the best ever.
