After doing a number of "Regular Cruises" over the years, i wanted to try something different last year I have done hotel stays in Sharm El Sheikh previously and really wanted the opportunity to see some of the real, historical sights of Egypt, and a Nile Cruise seemed like the ideal way for me to combine History and Cruising We were met at the airport by our rep, who went effortlessly through the process of getting our Visa into our passport, and get us quickly onto the transfer bus, and onto Luxor to board the ship, The Sunray The first thing we noticed when boarding is how well furnished the ship is, some lovely finishing touches all over make it very classy The cabins, while not huge, were a good size. We didnt plan on spending much time in there anyway, not with all the tours included Those tours covered everywhere we had wanted to visit, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Karnak and so many more, with the option to visit Cairo and Abu Simbel, although we passed up these, as there is a lot to do on this cruise The guides are amongst the most knowledgable i have known while on a holiday, such pride about their culture, and delivered with real passion. A pleasant change from some tours i have been on Dining was good. A large choice each day, bear in mind though, that when the menu says "Asian Food", what you will get is the local Egyptian dishes The facilities on board are your usual, bar, Lounge, Pool etc, and i doubt you will want to do much more, the tours can really take it out of you...but in that fulfilling way!
