We booked our cruise as a complete package with MSC to include our fligts from Manchester and transfers at Genoa but when we arrived we did have to wait quite a while until the coach was ready but after a while we were on our way to the port. We checked in which was a simple process and took no longer than 20 minutes which was nice after the wait at the airport. Overall thoughts on after embarking the ship was the attention to detail and how the ship was theamed and designed, in my opionon it was more of a 4-5 * than a 3-4* which was a nice surprise. The facilities on board were also great with a smashing gym and exercise centre along with a spa and treatment room which on first look looked very comparable to the higher ranked cruise lines such as Princess and Royal Caribbean. There was also a good seection of bars which ranged from your typical wine bar to lounge bars with music and late evening entertainment with the disco/nightclub. Moving on to the cusine and starting with the buffet restaurant, I felt that this was a bit of a let down as the choice was quite limited and seemed to cater more for the Europeans than maybe the British, but there was still an amount to choose from, but not the usual amount I've been use to with other cruiselines. Moving on to the evening meal in the restaurant, this was completley different, a great choice from the menu with superb service and one to which we went to almost every evening. We were very pleased with the overall cruise and would return to MSC as their prices are very cempetitve, my only negitive was that there were far more Europeans on board than British but I feel this is down to MSC's name in the UK not be as popular as other cruiselines.
