We had a great holiday. Las Vegas was busy just as we expected. I was worried about staying the Riveria Hotel as the reviews were not good - we found it quite acceptable. I was also worried about arranging our own transfers etc these were easy - probably because it was americia and most people are happy to help for a tip. We booked our own tour to the Grand Canyon. When we arrived at Las Vegas ariport we were met by a very friendly booking in clerk who for a 'tip' waivered luggage fees which should have been $50. The flight from Las Vegas to LAX was comfortable and we were met at the airport by a Priness rep who asked us if we wanted to purchase a transfer to the ship - this allowed us to book in early than expected and straight on to the ship. This was our 6th cruise 1st time with Princess - I can only rate the cruise experience as 'ok' I was expecting much more from a leading cruise line. I also feel it is worth stating that the Pacific ocean is quite bumpy and cold (everyone was buying sweatshirts from the onboard shop durin the first few days) - and reading other reviews I think we actually had quite a good trip - I was expecting it to be much warmer. The islands were beautiful - but we only managed to see a small part and the trips from the ship were very expensive (more than normal) most people were trying to do their own thing - unsuccessfully. Again it is worth stating it is difficult to rent a car if you are British as we don't have the same insurance as americians. All that said - Jetline delivered exactly what they said and a much lower cost than fellow passengers paid. I would book with jetline again but only with princess cruises if they were the only ship going to that desination. Thank you Jetline
