Comment:
Went on the Grand Princess last year. There was my wife and my two kids. Normally I am a Royal Caribbean fan and love the big ships due to the facilities such as the flowrider but however decided to try the Grand Princess. In a nut shell, food some of the best I have had. Ate in the steakhouse 10 nights out of 14. The service and food there was exceptional and was well worth the $20 per head cover charge. The entertainment was ok but lacking in the evenings and very similar if you did not go to the main show. However they had 2 pool parties and these were the best I have ever experienced in over 20 cruises. My two main grumbles was the pool was inundated with kids and the parents were letting them rule the pool. The last point in which was not really Princess fault was my son had chicken pox and we had to be confined to the cabin for 3 days. At no time did Princess contact us to see if they could make our stay any more comfortable. Ie DVD player, get prooper dining room food up to us etc. However all in all a very good cruise and now booked to go the Ruby Princess in July 2010
