Standby for the launch of the second Signature Class ship of the Holland America Line Fleet – the Nieuw Amsterdam. Having had the pleasure of travelling on the first of this class of ship (Holland America Line Eurodam) we were impressed with the layout, style, teak decks and the 2 very different pool areas. Also standard Balcony staterooms have bathtubs!!! Definitely visit the fabulous Pinnacle Grill which is well worth the few extra pounds cover charge. Other dining options include the main dining room where you can opt for “as You Wish” dining, The Lido for daytime buffets or informal waiter service dining at night. We must also mention the tranquil Far Eastern style restaurant at the top of the ship with its adjacent lounge and panoramic views. Other facilities include: a theatre, casino, numerous bars, Crows Nest nightclub, Retreat cabana area, Explorations Café, kids clubs and more. |
