For nature lovers, there are some experiences that are more ‘bucket list’ than others, and an Alaska cruise most definitely falls into that category. As you drift through the wild, glacial landscape on a luxury vessel, you’ll encounter iconic sights and wildlife species that you’d never be able to even imagine anywhere else on the planet.

Now, while you might think that’s a holiday you wouldn’t be able to top, Jetline has come up with a package that does just that and more - by adding a stunning bear watching float plane adventure to a Celebrity Cruise through Alaska and British Columbia. Sound fabulous? It certainly is!

See the Grizzly Bears of British Columbia on an Alaska Cruise

Our Alaska Cruise and Grizzly Bear Float Plane Adventure means your holiday of a lifetime to an ice-bound wonderland doesn’t end once you’re back on dry land. Once you disembark Celebrity’s cruise ship the Eclipse in Vancouver, we’ll transfer you to the airport for the flight to Campbell River, in British Columbia. After an overnight stay there to get your land legs again, it’s time to take a deep breath and get ready for adventure as you take to the skies for your float plane flight to beautiful Knight Inlet Lodge.

The flight itself is truly breath-taking in all the right ways, delivering you into a remote and beautiful wilderness. As you soar over the picturesque Johnstone Strait on the half-hour flight that takes you to this prime bear-watching territory, you’ll be able to marvel at far-reaching views over the islands and the pristine 100km fjord, Knight Inlet.

Spectacular Wilderness Up Close and Personal

So, what can you expect from this excursion at the end of an already unforgettable Alaska cruise? So much more than you ever imagined…The overnight stay at Knight Inlet Lodge will give you multiple opportunities to maximise the potential for sightings of bears. The lodge is set on Glendale Cove, and the boat trip we have organised along the coast will afford you a wonderful vantage to see them in great numbers as they come to feed on the surrounding grasses and wade into the shallows to get their fill of crabs and mussels. The specially designed boats have multiple viewing aspects and are able to get right up close to the shore for an intimate (but very safe) encounter.
