Prima No flying to Iceland & the Fjords

Cut out the flying and stay close to home to explore Iceland the Norwegian Fjords on this brand new ship. This is the only  2 week cruise from Southampton currently in the programme on the first of the innovative Leonardo class of ship built with a higher space per passenger ratio than the rest of the fleet.

The west coast of Norway is home to the Fjords a where Geiranger Fjord is a UNESCO World Heritage Site - it is nine miles long and is the most photographed of fjord of them all. This fjord is surrounded by the steepest mountains on the entire west coast, it is very narrow and has foaming waterfalls (Seven Sisters and Suitor) which plunge into the fjord from jagged peaks.  A fjord is formed when a glacier cuts a U-shaped valley in the surrounding bedrock - as result most fjords are actually deeper then the sea they flow into; in fact Sognefjord in Norway reaches as much as 1,300metres (4,265 ft) below sea level.

This combination of Ireland, the Norwegian Fjords and Iceland gives you a multiple holiday expereince in one holiday. There are three ports of call in Iceland inclusing an overnight stop call in Reykjavik (Iceland) handy for visiting the world famous Blue Lagoon and the chance to view the Northern Lights..
