Fred Olsen | Balmoral
The largest of the Fred. Olsen fleet, Balmoral takes her name from the Scottish residence of the British royal family and has 710 cabins. The suites have a balcony and living area and most have an en-suite with a bath.
The restaurants also take up the Scottish theme in name – 5-course à la carte menus are served in the Ballindalloch, Spey and Avon Restaurants with a self-service buffet in the Palms Café. Although sea views can be enjoyed in both restaurants, the Spey and Avon is a more intimate setting. For a tea or coffee break served with chocolates, head to the Bookmark Café.
The Balmoral has plenty of places to relax or stay active – enjoy a range of treatments at that Atlantis Spa, work out in the Fitness Centre or chill out in one of the heated pools or relax in one of the many lounges. In the Neptune Lounge, Balmoral’s main entertainment venue, enjoy live music and comedy performances in the evening and classes by day. Or indulge in your favourite tipple in the Marquee Bar or a traditional afternoon tea in the Observatory Lounge.
